Fur Pets We Care, Inc is operated by Rita Richwine. Rita grew
up in a rural area of the Quad Cities. Her family had dogs, cats,
chickens and once, a pig. Her neighbors exposed her to cows,
horses, turkeys and geese.
After working in the corporate world, Rita took early retirement
and in January 2004 officially opened Fur Pets We Care, Inc.
Rita is owned by Spook, Crybaby, Rudy and Cezar, and Kat.
Her memberships include Pet Sitters International, PUPS
(Professional United Pet Sitters), Pet Sitters Associates, LLC,
PetSit USA, Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce,
Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
Rita is American Red Cross trained in pet first aid and CPR.
She has completed the PSI accredited pet sitting technician
course and completed the education section of a vet assistant
program in July 2006. She is planning on adding dog obedience
and pet massage to her training.
